Don’t Have A Cow Man!

So…Aaron needed a hair cut really bad!  He has been growing it out like all the other guys at school, but since school is out…I said…time is up for that mess of hair!  I told him to make sure he washed it good cause the next day it was history!  Well when he came down it was all slicked straight back, and the fun ensued from there :)  We started fooling around with it, giving him the duck tail and the curl in the front…then we just decided to go for it.  This is what we ended up with!  I LOVE THIS PICTURE!  Kids are a blast!

The Garden

So…it’s been about 3 full weeks now since I put the seeds in the ground, and just LOOK at what we have now.  Aaron is actually doing a good job of helping out with this.  It was pretty hot yesterday though, and it was the first time he complained.  I told him it was easier to pull little weeds than big ones and to get busy :) So here we go…the updated pics.

Our Neighbors

Does anyone else have this problem?  BAD NEIGHBORS!  One half of the block is okay, the other half of the block is like a nightmare.  I actually have adults verbally abusing my child.  They have called him names, and they have done this in front of the other children on the block.  WHEN did this become okay?  If you have a problem with my child you are supposed to come and see me, and let me know about it.

Besides…MY ANGEL CHILD would never do anything wrong to begin with! hahahaha  But still, I am sure that they would be over here on my doorstep if I had spoken to one of their children in the same way.

Okay…done complaining.

What A Bummer

So…we stopped at this old barn that I had been wanting to take some pictures at finally!  It was a great day, and I just KNEW we were going to get some good ones.  I told Aaron to be careful and watch what he was doing and wehre he was going…he came home with a case of poison ivy anyway, and this is the only good picture I got!  Somedays are just a bummer!

A Bus Load Of Clowns

SO!  The other day we are headed down to see some friends of ours.  They  kinda live far away, but their daughter had a soccer game that was kind of close to us so we decided to go and see her game and visit with our friends.  On the way there we are just driving along chattering away, and all of a sudden my husband Dave yells

OH MY GOSH!  THATS A BUS LOAD OF CLOWNS!

And sure enough…it was an entire bus FULL of clowns!  Now needless to say this tickled us to death!  We started following the bus hoping to get some pictures of the clowns through the windows, and we did!  Then the most amazing thing happened!  The bus stopped, and they all started piling off of the bus.  THEN ANOTHER BUS SHOWED UP!  FULL OF CLOWNS!  It was awesome!  So Dave just started snapping away :)  Hope you enjoy the pictures :)

Im SO Excited!!

Well, it has taken about 4 weeks, but just today we finally finished out outdoor projects!  The front flower beds are finished.  Renitas marrigolds are popping up, and I can’t wait until I can add them to my salads, and make marigold dust.  I have all of the house plants repotted, and outside, BUT the thing I am most excited about is the back yard!  I have  raspberry bushes.  YAY!!!!!  I have wanted raspberry bushes forever!  I think I am more excited over the raspberry bushes than I am over the vegetable beds! HAHAHA

SO…details, okay there is a lettuce bed.  It has romain, buttercrisp, field green, and spinach.  There is also head lettuce, but that is in a box with the broccoli.  I am nervous about broccoli, but…the only way to know, is to just jump in.  There are green peppers, and tomatos of course.  The tomatos are in buckets.  There are also, peas, and green beans, green onions, yellow onions, carrots, and an herb bed.    The herb bed has chamomile, lavender, basil, chives, rosemary, and morning glory up the trellis.  There will also be a trellis above the lettuce bed, but not until Dave gets back.  So I guess were not COMPLETELY done.  The morning glory is to give the deck a bit of privacy on the bottom.

Aaron has a project also.  He has a sunflower bed.  He built it, and will have to maintain it.  He will also help with the other gardening, but the sunflower bed is all his.  This is going to be part of his job with the homeschooling.  He will use this as a writing assignment.   So enjoy the pictures, and I will be keeping you updated on our progress.

A Day Spent In 1st Corinthians

This was a really GOOD day of study for me.  I have completely enjoyed today!  Thank you Heavenly Father.

1 Corinthians 3
On Divisions in the Church
1 Brothers, I could not address you as spiritual but as worldly—mere infants in Christ. 2 I gave you milk, not solid food, for you were not yet ready for it. Indeed, you are still not ready. 3 You are still worldly. For since there is jealousy and quarreling among you, are you not worldly? Are you not acting like mere men? 4 For when one says, “I follow Paul,” and another, “I follow Apollos,” are you not mere men?

All churches point a finger at each other and say…we believe this doctrine and your group is wrong.
5 What, after all, is Apollos? And what is Paul? Only servants, through whom you came to believe—as the Lord has assigned to each his task. 6 I planted the seed, Apollos watered it, but God made it grow. 7 So neither he who plants nor he who waters is anything, but only God, who makes things grow. 8 The man who plants and the man who waters have one purpose, and each will be rewarded according to his own labor. 9For we are God’s fellow workers; you are God’s field, God’s building.

It doesn’t matter where the seed is planted.  Only that it is planted and watered, because ultimately…God is who makes the seed grow.  It doesn’t matter if you plant your seed in a field, or a building…just that you planted it.

Time With The Girls

Friday I got to spend the afternoon with my girls.  It was nice.   Nichole and I went down to have lunch with Renita.  We pigged out on pizza, and talked about all kinds of stuff from men to runes.  It was a really good day.  Unfortunately Bella, Renita’s daughter was have serious allergy issues and that made her just a tad grumpy but nothing that was distracting.

Yesterday I kept Nicholes daughter Jasmine while she had a little bit of adult time for herself, and Jazz and I sat in the floor while I did her hair, and put makeup on her and covered her in glitter.  Jazz is five years old today, and make up and glitter  was a big treat for her.  A few moments ago Nichole called me to tell me that she is giving Jazz her bath so she can get ready for her party, and the glitter just wont come off…so the only thing to do, is add more glitter :)  I couldn’t agree more!  I will post the pictures as soon as I get a minute :)

Also today my husband and I set the boxes for our vegetable garden.  I am soooo excited!  I cant wait to get that ball on a huge roll.  I will post the pictures of that also :)

Lots going on in the house this week :)  I have to go and get ready for a party…hmmm wonder where I put that glitter?
