Well, it has taken about 4 weeks, but just today we finally finished out outdoor projects! The front flower beds are finished. Renitas marrigolds are popping up, and I can’t wait until I can add them to my salads, and make marigold dust. I have all of the house plants repotted, and outside, BUT the thing I am most excited about is the back yard! I have raspberry bushes. YAY!!!!! I have wanted raspberry bushes forever! I think I am more excited over the raspberry bushes than I am over the vegetable beds! HAHAHA
SO…details, okay there is a lettuce bed. It has romain, buttercrisp, field green, and spinach. There is also head lettuce, but that is in a box with the broccoli. I am nervous about broccoli, but…the only way to know, is to just jump in. There are green peppers, and tomatos of course. The tomatos are in buckets. There are also, peas, and green beans, green onions, yellow onions, carrots, and an herb bed. The herb bed has chamomile, lavender, basil, chives, rosemary, and morning glory up the trellis. There will also be a trellis above the lettuce bed, but not until Dave gets back. So I guess were not COMPLETELY done. The morning glory is to give the deck a bit of privacy on the bottom.
Aaron has a project also. He has a sunflower bed. He built it, and will have to maintain it. He will also help with the other gardening, but the sunflower bed is all his. This is going to be part of his job with the homeschooling. He will use this as a writing assignment. So enjoy the pictures, and I will be keeping you updated on our progress.
